10 Macoun apples or apples you have on hand quartered slice or dice
1/4 cup apple cider or water
1/4 cup sugar *
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Place the apple pieces, apple juice, and cinnamon in the pressure cooker and stir to combine. As soon as the pressure cooker comes to high pressure remove the pan from the heat and allow the pressure to drop naturally. Carefully remove the lid.
Stir apples, breaking up large chunks, until you’ve achieved your desired consistency. (Or you can blend the apples with an immersion blender in the pot. )
Makes 3-4 cups of applesauce
*Sugar strengthens the tissues of the fruit so it really can be added later after tasting you may not need sugar!
