1 cup orange juice with lots of pulp, or more as needed
1 orange, peeled and cut into bite sized pieces
3 ripe, sweet apples, such as Jonagold
1 cup of green grapes cut in 1/2
One 8-ounce can crushed pineapple
1/2 cup grated coconut
Sugar to taste or honey
Pour the orange juice into a medium bowl. Chop the apples into small dice adding to the orange juice. Add the orange pieces and the pineapple, grapes, coconut and sugar or honey. Mix well, adding more orange juice if the mixture is not juicy enough. Store the ambrosia in the refrigerator until ready to serve. The apples will continue to absorb juice, and orange juice can be added as needed to keep it as juicy as you like.
