A nutritious leafy green belonging to the same family as broccoli and kale, collards can be boiled, sautéed, or added to soups.  Choose bunches with crisp, dark green leaves with no yellowing around the edges and cook them within five days of purchase.

In the same family as kale, Brussels sprouts, bok choy, and broccoli, cabbage is very nutritious and low in fat and calories. Can be eaten raw in a slaw or salad. Cabbage can also be sauteed, pickled, or added to soups.
