Alstede Fresh at Lindeken Farms is the newest of our retail locations opened in April of 2023 providing convenient and year-round access to fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables produced on our farm in Chester NJ. Alstede Farms is a family-owned and operated farm that has been nourishing New Jersey families for 40 years and is proud to continue the tradition started over 73 years ago by the Stanlick family when they opened Lindeken Farms back in 1949.
Alstede Fresh at Lindeken Farms offers seasonal locally grown fruits and vegetables, a fully stocked bakery department featuring home-baked pies, muffins, and pastries along with apple cider donuts and hot coffee or cider. You will also find farm-fresh honey, apple cider, and our new sparkling cider. Our farm market boasts plenty of local dairy products, jams, and jellies, as well as other grocery items including eggs, meats, and bread. The newest addition to this farm market is hot soups daily to warm up during winter. You will also find extensive gluten-free items available including cupcakes, donuts, ravioli, bread, pasta, and more. Our farm market is a convenient pickup location for our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) weekly box of fresh produce in season. This new location has proven its value for being an important part of the community and improving families’ quality of
life with consistent and reliable farm market hours that are open every day even during the winter. You can expect to find a knowledgeable team, led by Veliko, our Farm Market Manager, to help select products that make shopping a breeze along with ready-prepared items such as homemade quiches, fresh dips, hot soup or cider, fresh baked goods, and hot coffee by the cup. Veliko is a valued member of our team with twelve years of experience in all aspects of our business and believes “farming isn’t only about putting food on the table, it’s about creating a healthier and sustainable future for years to come”. Veliko adds “ I’ve worked in all areas of the farm and am pleased to connect families with healthy food from our farm”. Veliko’s motto is a simple yet poignant one, “Once in your life you will need a doctor, a lawyer, a policeman, and a preacher, but every day, three times a day, you need a farmer “.
