One bite and you will taste (and see) the difference between local farm fresh strawberries and the supermarket variety. Not only do local berries taste sweeter, they also are red all the way through as they are fully grown. Local strawberries are allowed to ripen in the fields and picked at the peak of freshness. They do not have to travel long distances and therefore are ripe and juicy by nature. Supermarket berries are picked before fully mature and strawberries do not ripen after picking so they remain unripe and will have white centers and taste less juicy and sweet. Supermarket strawberries are typically 2-4 days old by the time they reach the shelves which affects the flavor and they are less sweet. Our strawberries are picked fresh each morning and ready for you in our farm store, farm stands and farmers markets that same day. Our strawberries taste best and sweeter also because of our farming methods. We grow our strawberries in well drained, compost enriched soil. Taste the difference by shopping & eating local today.
