A Time for Community, Gratitude, and Holiday Fun

As the crisp autumn air (finally) settles in and the vibrant colors surround us, we find ourselves in the heart of harvest season—a time that reminds us to slow down, savor the beauty around us, and reflect on the many things we are thankful for. Whether you’re checking off items on your fall bucket list or preparing for the upcoming holiday season, there’s still so much to experience and enjoy. Here are a few ways to make the most of this magical time on the farm.

1. Pick-Your-Own Apples – Still Going Strong!

While many think of apple season as early in the fall, we’re happy to say that Pick-Your-Own Apples is still open! There’s nothing quite like filling your basket with fresh, crisp apples straight from the tree. Whether you’re planning to bake pies, make homemade applesauce, or simply snack on them fresh, the experience of harvesting your own apples is a fall tradition you don’t want to miss.

This late into the season, it’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy the quieter days in the orchard, with the bonus of cooler weather and beautiful fall foliage. So grab your family, don your flannel take a wagon ride, and spend a peaceful afternoon among the apple orchards.

2. Celebrate Community and Gratitude

Harvest season is the perfect time to pause and appreciate the sense of community and the small moments that bring us happiness. The farm has always been a gathering place, whether it’s families enjoying a day out, friends sharing laughs around new experiences, or guests coming together for our seasonal events.

At this time of year, we feel especially grateful for our visitors, dedicated staff, and the local community that makes this farm so special. From working the land to greeting familiar faces, we’re reminded daily of how our farm contributes to cherished meals and memorable moments. These simple pleasures fill our hearts with gratitude. We love being stewards of the land.

In that spirit, we are committed to giving back by participating in food donations to support those in need. We’re proud to contribute to efforts like the Table of Hope Thanksgiving Food Distribution, the Interfaith Food Pantry’s weekly program, and other local organizations that serve our community.

3. Holiday Season on the Horizon

As we embrace the end of harvest, we also turn our attention toward the holiday season. It’s a time for warmth, gatherings, and festive traditions. Soon, the farm will be filled with holiday cheer—whether it’s through seasonal events or preparing for Thanksgiving and beyond. Be sure to pre-order holiday offerings, like fresh-baked pies, farm-raised turkeys, and all the seasonal sides to make your holiday meal extra special. You can conveniently pre-order them on our website now and get back to enjoying the season.

4. Fall Fun & Bucket List Adventures

There are still plenty of activities to enjoy as fall winds down. If you haven’t had a chance to complete your autumn bucket list, here are a few ideas to check off:

  • Explore the Corn Maze: Our giant corn maze remains open, and with fewer attendees this time of year, it’s the perfect way to enjoy a fall adventure.
  • Take a Tractor Drawn Wagon Ride: Nothing says fall like a scenic wagon ride through the farm, soaking in the last days of autumn and enjoying the landscape and changing leaves.
  • Sip Warm Apple Cider: Whether you enjoy it warm or chilled, nothing beats fresh-pressed cider during harvest season. It’s a taste of the farm you can take home and enjoy throughout the season.
  • Try All Our Fall Ice Cream Flavors: Indulge in our seasonal treats before they’re gone! Choose from Pumpkin Chip, S’mores, or our delicious Maple Creemee. For something extra special, try a Pumpkin Milkshake or a Donut Ice Cream Sandwich—perfect for autumn cravings.
  • Attend our Pie Tasting Event: Sample our wide array of fresh baked pies just in time for Thanksgiving. From fruit pies to lemon or chocolate, there is a pie to please every palate, learn more on our website.
  • Participate in Brunch with Santa: Start the holiday season with a magical family brunch with Santa! New this year, our Santa brunch provides an opportunity to select your own Christmas Tree!

5. Thankfulness in Every Moment

As the days get shorter and the weather turns cooler, it’s the perfect time to pause and be thankful for the small joys—whether it’s the beauty of fall leaves, a cozy evening with loved ones, or the satisfaction of a successful harvest. At the farm, we are reminded daily of the gifts of nature and the importance of community. This season, let’s carry that sense of gratitude into everything we do, whether we’re gathering around a holiday table or enjoying a quiet moment outdoors.

Visit Pick Your Own Before the Season Ends

Harvest season is still in full swing, and there’s so much to be thankful for. Whether you’re visiting for Pick-Your-Own apples, attending a fall event, or getting ready for the holidays, we invite you to come out and enjoy the farm as we embrace the end of autumn and the beginning of the holiday season.

Let’s celebrate the harvest, the community, and the little things that make this time of year so special.

Happy Harvest Season!
