Alstede Farms, of Chester NJ, is proud to welcome Melinda Scotti to the special events and hospitality team. Melinda Scotti, a long-time resident of Chester, will highlight her design and decorating experience as well as her special event management skills on the farm in this new role. Alstede Farms is a major contributor to the community by providing opportunities for local employment as well as serving as the anchor of the local food hub by growing hundreds of varieties of fruits and vegetables in season. Alstede Farms owner and founder, Kurt W. Alstede stated “Our family and team are pleased to continue our commitment to servicing the needs of our town by utilizing assets from our wonderful community. We are able to bring a unique and local perspective to our farm offerings and experiences with the majority of our upper management team members residing in Chester.”
Those in the local community interested in seeing behind-the-scenes on this real working farm can enroll in Alstede Farms’ loyalty program and become members of the Fresh Discovery Club. Members enjoy monthly classes featuring events such as educational tours, horticultural experiences and plenty of opportunities to ask questions and learn and grow with the Culinary Specialist on staff. The Fresh Discovery Club is a great opportunity for neighbors of the farm to learn new and creative ways to prepare seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables and live a healthier lifestyle.
