Pickled Garlic

This is an easy recipe shared by our dear friend and Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) member, Inga. She makes this while garlic is plentiful and in season to have on hand when a little boost of immunity is needed in Winter or anytime.
Ingredients:
3 cups peeled Alstede Fresh garlic cloves
1 1/2 c white vinegar
1/2 c sugar
1/2 tsp salt
Sprigs of fresh dill or thyme picked fresh from our greenhouse
Instructions:
Bring vinegar, sugar, salt to boil.
Add garlic & fresh herbs, boil for 1 minute,
Remove from heat and let cool, put into jars and refrigerate.
Farm Kitchen Tip – Delicious in martinis, salads, antipasto platters and more. It is so good that it tastes best by itself and is good for you. Alstede has the best, beautiful large garlic bulbs for this, according to Inga!
