Hospitality and Events at Alstede Farms are a unique and fun experience. Where else can you host your special event while experiencing a day in the life of a real working farm? Patti Gavornik is our Hospitality Supervisor at Alstede Farms and is ready to help you create an unforgettable event with us. Patti brings over 20 years of event planning experience to our team and has worked with such clients as South Street Seaport Museum, and Waterkeeper Alliance along with other high-profile non-profits.
Patti loves working with a wide variety of budgets for individuals and corporations transforming every event into a truly memorable experience. We interviewed Patti about her role on the farm and she states, “one of the most impressive things about hosting events at Alstede Farms is the ability to have a large party outside with unique farm related activities that you can’t find anywhere else.”
Patti manages both special life celebration facilities on the farm, the Reserved Party Area and Harvest Hall. The reserved party area consists of individually tented areas where you can host special events nestled in the heart of the farm. The reserved party area is next door to our friendly farm animals making it an ideal location for children’s birthday parties or other outdoor celebrations. The reserved party area is also the ideal spot to partake in all that the farm has to offer including tractor drawn wagon rides, pick your own activities, the evergreen adventure maze, the giant hay pyramid, sunflower fields (in season), corn mazes (in season), live music at the outdoor band stage and wine or hard cider tasting at the Tomasello outdoor courtyard. The reserved party area provides a lively spot to gather with friends and family for special occasions.
Guests may prefer the indoor and more private comforts of the newly renovated Harvest Hall which provides a large outdoor tented
area along with a rustic & elegant interior space perfect for special celebrations. Harvest Hall is heated and air conditioned and has its own private parking lot, flushable bathroom trailer, and delicious farm to table catering options. Private pony rides, bounce houses and other amenities are available for this location along with floral and wedding favor packages available.
Harvest Hall is versatile to many events and also affords many beautiful views of natural farmland throughout the seasons. Whether it be the sunflower fields in summertime, the peach blossoms in Springtime or the corn and pumpkin fields in Fall, you and your guests will love the scenery along with being greeted by our friendly horses on the property. Winter has its own beauty with beautiful winter sunsets and red min sheds covered in snow. In addition to the event spaces, Patti orchestrates field trips to our farm for schools, daycares, summer camps, colleges & universities along with special groups. These field trips provide an opportunity for students and educators to experience picking their own fruits, vegetables, and flowers, in season, while learning about how food is grown. This provides a “reconnection” to nature, eating in season and the importance of a healthy balanced lifestyle refocusing on fruits and vegetables and fresh air. The groups also enjoy time outside of the classroom to experience a real working farm, friendly farm animals and guided tractor drawn wagon rides on over 375 acres of preserved farmland.
