Highlands Harvest - Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
A variety of produce will be included each week as they mature with the season. A typical share in June will include a variety of salad greens, strawberries, herbs, turnips, radishes, asparagus, and rhubarb. A week’s share in August may contain tomatoes, corn, assorted peppers, peaches, raspberries, summer squashes, herbs, and eggplants. The variety will continue through Thanksgiving.
Our CSA season is 30 weeks, beginning the week of May 6th and ending November 26th 2013. You can join at any time during the harvest season, the pricing and number of weeks will be prorated accordingly.
Our CSA begins the week of May 5th, depending on your chosen pickup day and runs all through summer, ending the week of November 24th
Yes, if you find that you could use more than you get with your present share you have the option to upgrade to a Full Share. We will simply prorate the cost of the increase. Pick up day may be changed for a standard $5 admin fee. If you’d like to skip a week because of vacation, just let us know and you can get a double share the following week ($5 admin fee). Any changes in delivery need to be communicated 48 hours in advance.
Not to worry! Each week shareholders receive a newsletter to help acquaint you with the produce and its culinary possibilities. We are always available by phone or email, (and yes, in person, too) to answer questions about what’s in your box and what to do with it. We love talking about our produce and how to make it family friendly and delicious!
No. All our boxes are packed for you from the vegetables available each week and which are at their peak of ripeness. Everyone will receive the same variety of vegetables.
You will receive a box once a week during our 30-week harvest season, starting the week of May 6th. Our last distribution for 2013 will be November 26th 2013. When you register, you will have the choice of a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday
distribution.
Distribution days are every Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday from 2pm to 7pm at the Farm Store in Chester, NJ. Pick up will be at the location you designate on your enrollment form. Regular members will pick up at our market in Chester. If you are a corporate member, your day, time and location will be designated by your employer. If you are a chapter member, your day and time will be determined by your chapter host.
Pick up is from 2pm to 7pm. We harvest and pack the boxes Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings to ensure you receive the freshest produce. We cannot guarantee that the share boxes will be ready before 2pm.

There is no deadline for signing up for the season, however, we may offer incentives to sign up early, and you may not want to miss out!
There are no downgrades, or refunds. The cornerstone to all CSAs is that of a seasonal commitment, you to us and us to you. If you are on the fence on what share to get, start small, you can always upgrade.
